The event was aimed at people working right across the public and voluntary sectors, particularly those who are trying to solve intractable problems caused by poverty, worklessness, family breakdown and a culture of low expectations.
The event was of particular relevance to -
- professionals working in health, urban regeneration, communities, social inclusion, poverty, housing, inequality, social services, employability, skills, education, early years, families and police.
- community leaders and activitsts
- church and spiritual leaders
- those interested in new thinking and different types of action.
We did not plan a break-out session on health as we think all the break-out sessions will be relevant to people working in this area and that concerns with inequality and health will permeate the whole event.
