Adolescents and Depression

Adolescence is a time when young people can struggle with their emotions and making the transition from childhood to young adulthood. It is a time when some of them can become vulnerable to strong mood swings and depression.

This article outlines how recent research provides an insight into the critical part exercise can play in helping adolescents to deal with high stress and anxiety and relieve some of the symptoms.The research is indicating that exercise is a more effective and longer lasting antidote to depression than taking anti-depressant drugs.
