This then means that the responsibility for the group's efforts falls on the shoulders of the most conscientious. Another criticism is that it may hold back the achievement of the brightest who are put in the role of bringing on the less able. And finally, some critics believe that it relieves teachers too much of their responsibility to teach. However, Co-operative Learning, well delivered is very demanding of teachers as it requires considerable forethought and organisation.
