The Centre for Confidence and Well-being in collaboration with Scottish Outdoor Education Centres carried out a research study on the impact of various interventions. The young people were divided into four groups: one group (the control group) just undertook outdoor education as normal. Other groups were given a positive writing exercise, training on mindset or training on optimism. Before and after measures were given to pupils. The results were analysed by the Centre and are included in the report which you can dowload below.
