Germs and playing outdoors

Doctors kick back at the ridiculous claim made by Health Protection Scotland (HPS). HPS are targeting the hand washing practices of an outdoor nursery school in Scotland.

The doctors say that there is no evidence suggesting that changing from using sanitising wipes to soap and water will be safer for children.  Some worry that all the fear surrounding germs could make children less likely to play outdoors.
