The positive power of the media

Research soon to be published in The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, has revealed that when people are exposed to media content dealing with being a better person, individuals are more likely to act in a pro-social way.

The authors say  “Our study indicates that if more attention was devoted to recounting stories of uncommon acts of human virtue, the media could have a quantifiable positive effect on the moral behaviour of a significant group of people.”
