Do brain training games really work?

This is an interesting article from The Independent on whether playing brain training games will boost brain function.

The article concludes that science does not back up the view that brain training games boost brain function. It also points out that these commonly held beliefs about 'quick fixes' from games consoles, such as Nintendo, miss the point about what really could make a difference to people. For example, exercise, relationships with others and hobbies. More here
